Such an easy diy. I really hated the soap dispensers in my home. I kept seeing a lot of different versions of amber dispenser bottles from Target to Instagram. I thought about it for a really long time. For a moment I was going to drop some serious coins on these fancy french soaps but I just couldn’t pull the trigger. I needed three, 1 for the kitchen and 1 for each bathroom. That would have been around $100 bucks for 3 glass bottles because I would have refilled it with different soap once the original soap ran out. I’m not against these soaps and maybe in my future home I might pull the trigger but it just doesn’t make sense for now.
I remembered that Yellow Brick Home had shown some amber bottles a while ago that I liked. It was an image of their kitchen with an amber bottle by the sink. The link at the bottom of the page directed me to these. Which were a much more reasonably priced. Then I used a label maker to label “HAND SOAP” on the front. I accidentally filled it up with dish soap… That is shopping with a baby! I was looking for an orange scented hand soap and didn’t realize it was dish soap but it does the job. I think I will get this next time.
It’s such a small change but it has such a huge impact in my day-to-day. I love the look of them and I feel like it pulls things together in a house that is full of baby things in every single room, this feels a tad sophisticated and I am okay with that.
