We were keeping our spices in Ikea mini jam jars and they were in two drawers in the corner of our kitchen. I found Hue with an open spice jar like twice and I needed to find a better solution. You can see an older post here on how we used to store our spices. Plus, we have been trying to keep the counters clear of unnecessary stuff. (Which is really hard to do!) We started with these magnetic spice racks that stick to the side of your fridge. They come in a set of two which is great but they didn’t fit our Ikea jars we were using so I ordered some of these instead (or very similar to what I got) and they worked great! I gave away the old jars to a friend.
The spice rack only comes in sets of two and I really only need one more so until I need more I have a few in the drawer but I got some drawer organizers and it seems to feel more orderly. Plus, I made room in the drawers that used to carry all the spices for other things like Hue’s accessories/lids/extra nipples that were making rather large piles on the counter top.
So far… I love our new spice set-up. It’s out of reach from Hue (mostly) and the jars are pretty. Plus, the jars came with the labels making organizing super easy!
