Hue and I made these heart shaped crayons last week. The tutorial on how to do it is here. Once we had the crayons it was time to make the cards!
We had almost everything on hand already. Here are the supplies we used:
Heart shaped DIY melted crayons
Stamps (I have collected these throughout the years)
Stamp pads (I picked some up from Michael’s but they had very slim pickings)
5″ x 7″ cardstock card-inserts (cut in half) (Already had these but you can buy similar ones here)
Paper cutter (I got mine years ago from here)
Washi tape (I had on hand)
glue dots
How to assemble:
I took the cards and using the paper trimmer I cut them in half. I found the middle by folding them first. Then I handed them to Hue and had them stamp the front however he wanted. Then I flipped them over and had him draw with crayons. Then I took the DIY heart shaped crayons and taped them with washi tape to the stamped side of the card. On the side Hue drew on I wrote a message on how these crayons were hand made by us. Short and sweet! Can’t wait for Hue to pass these out to his classmates. I put one in their for him too! ♥
Happy Valentine’s Day!
