Items you will need:

• An old tray to use as a mold (I got this blue with white trim tray for $2 at Emily Henderson’s old studio sale back in the summer)

• Wax paper

• Knife (I use a palette knife because I don’t want to use my kitchen knives.)

• Polymer Oven Bake Clay (I used the brand Sculpty. I used equal parts black and white but you can use whatever colors you like!)

• Rolling Pin – This one is dedicated to arts + crafts!

• Paint for trim + paint brush

This is where your muscles and strength come in. I push down pretty hard and roll. You just keep flipping and repeating the rolling until desired depth.

I cut it in have and re-rolled it again to get a more interesting pattern but was careful not to overwork the clay. I didn’t want my black or whites to get muddy.

Once I got the desired depth, I carefully layed the rolled clay into the bowl/mold. I firmly but carefully pressed the clay to the bowl.

I trimmed off the access clay and popped my marbled tray into the oven according to package directions.

Once the tray was done cooking, I took it out of the oven and let it completely cool. Then I put a couple of different golds and coppers out to see which one

I wanted to used. I chose the top gold color and carefully painted a gold trim around the edge but kept the edge a little raw because I liked how you can see

the raw edge with all the clay layers in it.

This catch all is great for all your stuff while you are at home.

Or great on your coffee table for all your odds and ends.

This marbled tray will look S T U N N I N G wherever you decide to display it.
