Let’s talk new plates for the kitchen. We need some. Ours are like at least 17 years old and are from Ikea. We have thrown a lot of chipped ones away and we need a new set. I am all about making my own set but my husband wants a set that a store already sells all together. I will list dinner plates, salad plates, bowls (pasta or cereal or both?), mugs and maybe some cups to stream line our kitchen cupboards.
Also, I scoured Crate & Barrel, Cb2, West Elm, Williams Sonoma, Sur La Table, Antrhopologie, Target and I’m sure I am forgetting a few… I was looking for white plate ware. I found C&B and Cb2 to have the best white dinnerware options at the right prices so that is what is pulled from below. Also, I will most likely have this dinnerware for 20+ years so I want it last.

And now for the cereal bowl. Smaller, not as wide with higher sides. I like to have both. There are some things that just taste better in a low bowl and some things since childhood that have been eaten out of a cereal bowl… like cereal or oatmeal or granola with fruit + yogurt… yum!

For my husband… the dinnerware set. Where everything is handed to you without too much thought. So basically if we go with a set there was no need for me to research any of the above categories. But hey this is fun to me so I’m okay either way we go… as long as I like it!

Looks like we need to go into these stores to actually see and feel what they look like in person. Luckily I only sourced two stores so we won’t have to be going to too many places. I have two mugs of the 7 which I love but are a little small. I love some parts of some sets but then other parts I don’t love. Luckily there are some sets I really love so I guess we will just have to wait and see what we end up getting!
