It is pouring here in Los Angeles. I mean it’s even thundering and lightening as I write this. I know, we Angelenos get very excited when it rains but it’s for good reason, because it rarely does. Hue is at his two month mark and is actually now sleeping in his crib, in his room! While he is taking a nap, I wanted to get this bucket list out so everyone can start using it! You can find a downloadable maternity leave bucket list here.

Every new mom or dad situation is different but if your lucky, you get some maternity leave to get to know and bond with your new + special baby. I told myself before Hue came that this is the time to tackle those super long mental, digital and physical piles. I want to reorganize my hard drive, emails and physical spaces in my home. When the baby comes you are so preoccupied with everything that this wish list completely vanishes from your mental needs. As I have gotten more confident with Hue I have found tiny pockets of time to actually get some of these needs completed.

It is still hard to get those things done unless it is written down. I am a list person and a bucket list is just a pretty list of things you want to do and get done. Plus you get to display it and see it everyday as a reminder. I know this time will slip by so fast, so I just want to remember this moment with Hue and I as best as I can.

Hue and I already completed one of the bucket list items this week! We went to the Getty off the 405 freeway. We went earlier this week because I knew the end of the week was ending in rain. It was really nice to walk around and take that time for Hue and me. I can’t wait to cross off more items off my bucket list!
