I made a similar DIY  banner for Valentine’s day here. The set up is the same so go to that post for step by step instructions and supplies. I only changed the colors to two shades of  green instead of red and pink for todays banner. You can download the four-leaf clover printable here to use as a template when cutting out your shapes. I made the shapes a little bit smaller so four can fit to a 8.5″ x 11″ sized paper. I love that the contact paper makes the paper stronger so when Hue tugs on the banners they don’t rip.

Since we are all socially distancing over this holiday I thought I would still decorate for Hue. It’s not like I was going to be drinking green beer in a pub anyways. It is important for him to see how we go through seasons through shapes that we hang up during the year. I made three banners this time around one for his room, the kitchen and the living room. I will keep these for years to come and just hang them as the holiday emerges.

Do you know that I have been to Ireland several times to visit the area where my dad is from?!?! I visited one time purposely on March 17th thinking it would be such a big party in Ireland. I was also very young like 19. Found out you might go to the local pub for a Guinness but it’s not a big holiday like it is here. It is definitely an American holiday honoring Ireland. But since I am half Irish I still like to celebrate it. We will still where green and maybe do a fun craft!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
